The Sathak, also known as the Graha Shanti which is directly translated into “Planet Peace” is done by both families separately in their houses traditionally.

This puja is done to counter effect any negative astrological effects of the nine planets, it is also done to ensure that the planets are aligned in the right manner for the bride and groom to have a happily married life.

In this holy ceremony, parents of the bride and groom prove an example of happy married life by getting remarried.
